Nigeria lost 2.5m barrels to vandals in 6 weeks – NNPC
Nigeria has lost about 2.5 million barrels of crude oil and condensate within the last six weeks due to pipeline vandalism, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said.
Group Executive Director Gas and Power of the Corporation (GED G&P), Dr. David Ige, said the corporation lost between 50,000 and 60,000 barrels of crude oil and condensate on a daily basis within the last six weeks totalling 2.5 million.
The Escravos-Lagos gas pipeline was vandalised with four breaks over the weekend and that there appears to be a syndicate behind the economic sabotage, the GED said. Continue Reading
