PEBEC Awards CBI for Improving Ease of Business in Nigeria
PEBEC Awards CBI for its effort in improving the Nigeria’s business environment at the 3rd edition of the PEBEC Awards was held on the 11th of March 2020 at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja. The purpose of the Awards which are held yearly, is to recognize MDAs and subnationals that implemented impactful and landmark reforms in previous year; as well as key members of the private sector who particularly contributed to driving PEBEC’s overall reform initiatives. It was organized and hosted by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), the Council responsible for driving reforms to make Nigeria a progressively easier place to do business in.
The Convention on Business integrity (CBI) was recognized for its outstanding contributions to improving the ease of doing business in Nigeria through its collective action initiatives, and was received the award for the most engaged civil society partner. The award was accepted on behalf of the organization, by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Soji Apampa.
CBI and Integrity Organization have been committed to enhancing processes and procedures in the public and private sector through its various collective action initiatives, especially in the ports sector and for micro, small and medium enterprises in the country. It recently launched MSMEStandards, an online marketplace for businesses to access services that will improve their governance, controls and anti-corruption compliance, which will in turn enhance the ease of doing business with entities that take advantage of the tools on this platform.
