Soro Soke: Integrity Organization Shows Support for #EndSARS Movement to End Police Brutality
In this video, Soji Apampa, Executive Director of the Convention on Business Integrity declares his support for the #EndSARS movement and provides a few pointers on how to ensure the youths are one step ahead of reactions by corrupt forces to destroy this movement.
Throughout its 25 years of the existence, the Integrity Organization has been on the forefront of the fight against corruption, looking for ways to effectively engage the public on its impacts and inspire the public to stand up and take up the fight. It’s been equal parts rewarding and frustrating, especially with motivating action on the part of citizens. So you can imagine our surprise when Nigerian youths decided to rise up across the nation, against injustices meted against them by the members of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), and creating the #EndSARS movement.
INTEGRITY ORGANIZATION LIMITED GTE. is an anti-corruption research, advocacy & consulting organization concerned with issues of accountability and transparency in public and business life. It was founded in 1995 during the Abacha regime as a direct reaction to the corruption and poor governance of Nigeria represented by that era. Protests like the #EndSARS movement are just one of the tools that Integrity Organization has employed over the years in its activities which are targeted are achieving its vision of “building a society that prefers integrity over corruption”.
